Artist - Conor O'Brien
Conor is a long-time resident of Huntsville. He was originally from Massachusetts, and has lived in numerous places including Boston, Detroit, and Miami. He has traveled all over the USA by train, plane, and car. He’s been painting since he was 12 years old (quite a while) when he was given his first oil paints and brushes. He loves working in oils because of the array of possibilities they afford, their beautiful translucency, and because he loves the wonderful aroma of a good turpentine. Conor enjoys painting daily, mundane subjects and making, as he likes to think of it, "something out of nothing." His work has been shown in several museums in the southeast, and is in private collections primarily in the southeastern and northeastern United States.
